grub-emu-dbg software package provides GRand Unified Bootloader, version 2 (emulated debug files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grub-emu-dbg
grub-emu-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grub-emu-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grub-emu-dbg *
You will get with grub-emu-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
